The new cultural event in Cologne
The third Rhine Meeting takes place on 26-28 February, 2006, in the Maternushaus in Cologne, under the title “What Use is Freedom?”. After the great reception the Meeting received in past years, we invite you to delve into the idea of freedom, through talks, panel discussions and an exhibition. In the content and style, we will build on the previous Meetings entitled “The Risk of Education” (2015) and “Europe: Identity or Strategy?” (2014), and we look forward to welcoming many visitors to the Rhine Meeting 2016.
This cultural experience stands in the tradition of the Rimini “Meeting for the Friendship Among Peoples”. It originated in the 1980s as the initiative of a group of friends who, starting from their own experience as Christians, wished to look deeper into the beautiful and the good in contemporary culture.
