Are we even entitled to ask this question? Can one seriously call into question the freedom of religion in Europe? And how does a European conceive 'freedom' in terms of religion? Should Europe become a continent entirely rid of legally recognised religious groups, or does Europe guarantee anyone the freedom to live according to his or her own religious understanding? How do European institutions deal with the diversity of traditions in the various European countries?

In his research, the speaker has focused on the European Court of Law's decisions concerning freedom of religion, as well as on the resolutions of other European institutions regarding this matter. He is therefore a knowledgeable dialogue partner for all who query the freedom of religion in Europe. The presentation will be held in Italian, translation provided.
